^{[a] 44} And they will smash you to the ground—you and your children within you. And they won’t leave within you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”

Confrontation at the Temple

⁴⁵ Then Yeshua entered the Temple and began to drive out the merchants, ⁴⁶ saying to them, “It is written,

‘My house shall be a house of prayer,’^[b]

but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’”^[c]
